Desert Oasis - Cream and Green Wedding Color Inspiration

Posted by Vonda-Lee Sharun on 2021 Feb 18th

It might be cold outside, but we are bringing the heat with our "Desert Oasis" collection. Join us on the warm sand as we enjoy the shade of the towering palms - we have saved you a spot! This color story is all about warm cream and vivid greens. Perfect for a bohemian feel or a cozy beach elopement!

To Get this Look

  • Turn up the temperature! When playing with these gorgeous hues we were careful to pick warm toned shades. Think about a lush tropical forest in the middle or a warm sea of sand.
  • Embrace soft texture. The softness of tulle plays well with the delicacy of lace in this look. Feel free to layer fabric to give a soft and chic look. Light layers are key to dressing for the heat even if it is just table linen that you are styling.
  • Cream, champagne, brown and even ivory are a beautiful neutral to pair with this look.
  • Accessorize this look with natural elements, large crystal rocks are a great idea, or layered thin necklaces are also beautiful on a petite frame.

Avoid

  • Stay away from cool and or contrasting shades. Green and Gold can easily look like Christmas if you are not careful. Fill in the gaps between the colors with gradient tones to warm it up.
  • Use black and white neutrals sparingly. They can look out of place for this color palette.
  • Keep heavy fabric on the ground and lighter fabric for dresses and linen. A thick rug is beautiful with this look, but a stiff or bulky suit can feel off.

Flower Girl Dress Guide

There are so many gorgeous green shades for this look, you can pick one or layer a few together. If you are having trouble matching the exact shade needed you can always choose a brown based champagne or cream and accessorize with an earth toned or green belt.

Our Gia Dress in Sage/Moss is a beautiful option. I love this look for a soft whimsical feel for your big day. It can also be beautiful for boho or rustic inspired weddings depending on the accessories and styling you choose. I absolutely LOVE the green shade of our sage/moss tulle and spent a long time finding what I believe to be the most beautiful green shade as it has just the perfect mix of blue and grey in it.

The Lovely Farrah Dress in Champagne is so pretty and the light layers of warm tulle come together so beautifully. The perfect sand tone, it can really be dressed up or down, depending on your motif. There is so much volume that it looks perfect on little ones walking down the aisle.

Our Willow Green Tulle Skirt is perfect for bridesmaids, engagement photos, or my favorite skirt for a summer honey moon. If you can't fly to the tropics, at least you can feel like you are there!
